No doubt that your in need of some fresh new maps to jazz up your play list on Call of Duty World At War, one of the most popular played games on Xbox Live to date, whether you’re a COD WAW fan or if your just keeping your cravings at bay until the infamous Modern Warfare 2 makes its debut, your going to need something to keep the love there and make add a little more variety to those already played to death maps that came with your purchase.

Map Pack 1 delivers 3 large scale maps to quench your thirst and add yet more diversity to the environments you lay waste to in your online conquest. As well as that, the Nazi Zombie fans aren’t disappointed with a 4th map exclusively for the Zombie play list with an overall bigger scale of tactics to undertake to survive as long as you can against the overwhelming waves.

The first of the maps is Nightfire.  We see the battle to Berlin, this night map only lit by the burning rubble of the buildings and spotlights, perfect for the urban snipers and unforgiving street warfare, go in with your team and straight for the objective.

The first of the maps is Nightfire.  We see the battle to Berlin, this night map only lit by the burning rubble of the buildings and spotlights, perfect for the urban snipers and unforgiving street warfare, go in with your team and straight for the objective.

Second map is Knee Drop the island of Peleliu gets its multiplayer action in this now made battlefield constructed of huts and bunkers divided by a small swamp made with objective games in mind. The third and final multiplayer map is Station A bombed out subway station littered with platforms hidden side passage ways and subway cars to help you get the drop on your unsuspecting opponents, designed to allow you to vary your combat styles with chances to get up close and personal or sit back with your scope ready.

The final map in this pack is the new Nazi Zombie map, ‘Zombie Asylum’ This map takes the way you’d normally play the zombie co-op game and adds more ways for you to fight off the waves, but with more ways to fight back there’s also more opportunities for you to be swallowed and lost forever by the relentless hordes. Use the new electrified defences and other weapons from the single player to keep zombies of your back or use your points to invest in some helpful perks from vending machines including slight of hand and juggernaut to help you keep them at bay for longer.

As always team work is key to make it through to the highest wave you have. Go it alone or bring some of your friends, just remember…the power will reunite you.

800 Microsoft points is a fair investment in extending an already healthy online experience, adding larger maps to the game allows bigger and better objective based game play and of course the ever popular zombie co-op is made even better with this update, grab it now off the Xbox Live Marketplace via the Xbox Marketplace
