Eurogamer ’11 – Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3

You can’t have Battlefield 3 without MW3, the main contender. Not even a contender in some MW fans eyes. Alas, available at Eurogamer was the survival game mode of Spec Ops. Based on a more wave style of game play, Infinity Wards Spec Ops pits two players against wave of soldiers, dogs, juggernauts and light aircraft in some intense firefights on maps found in the game. The map Paris was filled with tight roads and winding back alleys perfect for bottlenecking large groups of enemies.
Eurogamer ’11 – Onlive

Now, OnLive has been spoken and announced about for a fair few months, yet the idea of a console-less gaming never really appealed to me. Yet after seeing the large area they took up on the show floor, I had to just take a seat and ask a few questions.
To those who don’t know, OnLive is a cloud based gaming console. For £69.99 you can purchase a small router like piece of equipment complete with an OnLive controller, plug it into your television, give it an internet connection and begin to play games both old and brand new right off the bat. Using the cloud system, users can purchase games they wish to play through the internet based dashboard and through dedicated servers back at OnLive HQ and begin to play full games such as Deus Ex Human Revolution or Dirt 3.
Eurogamer ’11 – Counter Strike Global Offensive

When talking about games and especially reviewing them, I hate comparing them. The phrase ‘It’s like ‘this’ but…’ makes me cringe, since when can a game not just take inspiration from another without it being a copy or clone of another, bigger title. With that said, Counter Strike Global Offensive, or more commonly known as CS:GO, could well be the love child of Left 4 Dead and Half Life 2. A legitimate one of course.
It makes sense to use those comparisons due to both titles being created by Valve, which is also the creative mind behind the original PC first person shooter classic Counter Strike, but is a new addition to the CS family going to be a welcome one? With the current state of shooters, most notably current warfare ones, we can only wait and see.
Eurogamer ’11 Preview – Need For Speed The Run

It’s hard to say it, but Need For Speed is almost as bad as Fifa games these days, before ones come out, there’s another one in the pipeline. Hot Pursuit hadn’t been out a week before Shift 2 was announced and the same happened for Shift 2 with the announcement of The Run. Annoyingly though. The Run is kind of fun.
Well at least the demo was. It’s no big news that NFS games have been looking great, especially after Criterions attempt with their fantastic looking addition, Hot Pursuit. So The Run takes the HP engine right off the bat. The game plays, looks and just feels a lot like Hot Pursuit did. That’s no bad thing remember.

The Xbox Live Summer of Arcade has returned and in true SoA style it plans on bringing some highly anticipated arcade titles to our consoles. The past two Summer of Arcade promotions have brought us infamous titles such as Braid and Limbo. Becoming a pair of the most popular games to grace the arcade rosters. This year’s month of arcade games doesn’t plan to disappoint either with first up on the chopping block, Bastion.

So, late last year Kinect finally happened. And whilst Microsoft and other developers figure out what the hell they’re actually going to do with it, we’ve been working hard on getting the flurry of dance, sports and fitness games that everyone’s had a go at for launch. There has been so many its insane. But can Ubisoft’s Fitness Evolved be the better of the fitness games out for Kinect? I jump around like a sweaty idiot, so you don’t have to.
From the Kinect titles I’ve played, Fitness Evolved definitely has one of the better menus. By using the cameras the game will scan you and project you into the screen, with just a few details, the camera will scan your height and length of your limbs to add a custom sized menu around your image in the screen. Reaching out to these bubbles will then open them. Using this format is such a breeze,
