The big battle has finally come. After a couple of months since both the games release, the rivalry still burns strong through fans of the games. So let’s take both games and compare them up against each other. What’s the worst that could happen? Oh…that.

Joe Danger is here! After serving his time alone on just the Playstation Network, Hello Games have finally brought the fun and crazy title to the Xbox Live Arcade stuffed with extras!

Joe Danger originally found home on the Playstation Network, after the production of Joe Danger’s sequel ‘Joe Danger: The Movie’. Hello Games have decided to present us with the original Joe Danger Special Edition, but what does the SE tag mean? And, who the hell is Joe bloody Danger?

Now, most readers will know that back at Eurogamer Expo 2011, Ace Combat Assault Horizon didn’t exactly leave a good taste in my mouth after. In honesty, the visuals didn’t look up to scratch and the game play itself didn’t seem to really mimic that of previous Ace Combat titles. So is there gold on the horizon? Or a flaming wreck of fighter jet bits?

The second of Gears of War 3′s downloadable content is upon us and oh boy is it a biggun. Sitting in at an exact 2GB, Raams Shadow brings new single player to our Gears of War desires.

Gears fans and sharp eyed readers may be confused as to why its labelled Raams Shadow, since this juggernaut tower block of a locust general died (albeit stubbornly) back at the climax of Gears 1, so what’s Raam got to do, got to do with it?

Now, I had quite the bad experience with Operation Flashpoints previous adventure ‘Dragon Rising’ but the thing that got to me the most was that I really did want to get on with the game. It had a set-up to be a great tactical and most importantly co-op shooter, but it just failed to deliver to me in a lot of ways. So when Red River was announced I kept my ears and my heart open for Flashpoints second chance to win me over.

Like Dragon Rising, Red River is a brutal kick to the teeth to anyone who considers themselves as a hardcore FPS player. In some cases, you may actually be a hardcore FPS player who may find this statement moot. But Operation Flashpoint has been known to bring even the biggest players to tears. Its constant large scale combat mixed with realistic weapon accuracy and even more realistic damage hit points gives a more heavier approach to what most gamers may have expected to be yet another gun-ho approach to war. You’ll definitely feel the pressure when enemies are flowing over the hills and you’re blindly shooting whilst trying to not only save your own ass, but three other soldiers part of your fire team. Red River, whilst a little bit easier than Dragon Rising, still gives you quite a hard time and wont feel bad about bullying you, stealing your lunch money and fornicating with your mother after either.

These days, about 70% of the Xbox Live community exists on Activisions latest, Call of Duty Black Ops, and if they didn’t like Black Ops, then they’re playing Modern Warfare 2, and if they don’t like that, then they’re on World At War, and if they don’t like THAT then they are still lurking in the corners of Modern Warfares first bout.

So needless to say, when an online only batch of DLC comes out for Rufflian Games more than underwhelming return to Pacific City, Crackdown 2 is going to have a little bit of work on its hands.

Just when you thought you couldn’t get any more life out of possibly one of the greatest Xbox Live Arcade titles around. Trials HD busts out another DLC pack to keep us mindlessly playing.

‘Big Thrills’ pack sets out to do just that, with more insane challenges to keep us glued to the Xbox 360. This time spanning over all difficulties, there’s more than enough to keep gamers occupied to the ‘oh just another go’ game that has had us in stitches and triumph all of 2010.

Deus Ex, recently branded as one of the best games on PC has finally come to the console world in the form of a prequel. Human Revolution brings a whole new way to take on an action adventure, so…Viva la revolution?

Following a brutal attack on a corporation that deals with the creation of body augmentations for the military and public, Adam Jensen, the head of security, is left for dead amidst the attack. In a desperate attempt to rescue him, the company rebuild him using the same augmentations they sell. Transforming him into the real million dollar man. Only the whole world isn’t exactly hung up on the idea…along with Adam.

So, the beginning of November has brought us the beginning of downloadable content for franchise giant Gears of War 3. With the second batch of downloadable content already announced and on its way, lets take a look at DLC pack one. The Horde Command Centre.

The main focus of this map, being called the Horde Command Centre is non surprisingly, a Command centre available in horde mode. A new form of defensive upgrade, the command centre allows you to call in some aid in the shape of sniper fire to hammer of dawns to clear out those pesky waves. Other upgrades have also appeared on the horde scene with a new decoy which turns your defence into an Onyx guard bot, a new auto turret which will have better use against Berserkers and the Silverback upgrade which lets you fire rockets. These new upgrades are great to use. When you actually get to use them. Unfortunately, your going to have to put in a lot of work to get these, as standard, you’ll need to have maxed out the decoy, turret and silverback in order for you to be able to access the new upgrades, and if you want to get your hands on that command centre, you’ll need to have spent a whole $360,000 on turrets after you’ve purchased the content, meaning anything earned before the downloadable content, isn’t going towards that ultimate defence upgrade. Sigh, it’s a tough job, but we have to get there at some point.
